This composition for solo classical guitar, inspired by the Scottish folk-song 'Peat Fire Flame’, has a dream-like quality of fantasy and inwardness, interspersed with moments of silence and moving towards episodes of increased tension as well as spiritual quietness.
Performed by the composer Bruce Paine and recorded in April 2020 as part of his online concert video released during lock-down in New Zealand.
